Dr. Shanelle Pearse - DDS
Dr. Shanelle Pearse grew up in Ontario, Canada and moved to Michigan where she obtained her master’s in biomedical science at Wayne State University before earning her dental doctorate from Detroit Mercy. Although she loves creating beautiful, functional smiles for all ages, she has a deep passion for pediatric dental care with advanced training and experience in all areas of children’s oral health. She has begun her pediatric oral sedation with the Academy of Dental and Medical Anesthesia. With this training, she can administer medications (when necessary) to help your child get through treatment safely with little to no memory of their experience. Being a member of the Special Care Dentistry Association (SCDA), Dr. Shanelle understands how to work with patients with special needs. She is also a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentists (AAPD), American Dental Association (ADA), and sits on the foundation board of the Michigan Dental Association (MDA).
When she is out of the office, Dr. Shanelle enjoys volunteering in her community and learning new languages. She speaks English, French, Greek, and is learning Spanish. Dr. Shanelle is recently engaged to her sweetheart, a local family physician. As a couple, they enjoy improving the overall health of their community and playing with their tabby cat, Freddy.
